How to Enable and Configure NFC on Philips S260

Philips S260

One of the main advantages of Philips S260 is NFC support. It allows you to use your smartphone for contactless payment for purchases. However, before payments, be sure to enable and configure NFC on Philips S260

NFC activation

The first step is to activate the NFC module of the smartphone. You can do this in two ways: using the notification center or using the device settings.

Using the notification center

To activate NFC in this way, you need to open the notification center by swiping down from the top of the screen, and then tap on the "NFC" icon. Depending on the Android version, it may be called "NFC " or "Contactless Payment" and may be highlighted in different colors.

Using the device settings

This method is less convenient, but no less reliable. Follow simple steps:

  1. Open your phone settings.
  2. Go to Connection and Sharing.
  3. Enable the NFC function.

It is also necessary to install the "HCE Wallet" as secure element position, since the "SIM Wallet" uses a chip installed in the SIM card for payment.

Configuring NFC

After activating the module, you need to configure NFC on Philips S260 by installing a program for making contactless payments. It can be Google Pay or your bank's app. Let's look at the process of setting up payment with Google Pay:

  1. Start the application.
  2. Click Get Started.
  3. Tap on Add a Payment Method.
  4. Select Credit or Debit Card.

Next, you will have to enter the details of the bank card, including its number and CVC code. Then you can pay for your purchases using Philips S260. But first of all, it's important to make sure that Google Pay or another app you'll use to pay is selected as your primary. Without this step, you cannot set up NFC payment:

  1. Open your phone settings.
  2. Go to Contactless Payments.
  3. Select Google Pay (or other app you plan to use) as Payment default.

Keep in mind that you can only use one payment app this way. If you need to pay for a purchase using another application, you will need to launch it manually.
